Movies with cats raise more money than films with dogs
Since 1970, films featuring cats have raised more money at the UK box office than movies with dogs. So, for the reporting period, box office grossing of “cat” films amounted to 7 841 924 828 dollars. For comparison: the fees from the "dog" films were equal to 6 556 609 118 dollars. Relevant information is contained in a Petlandia study.
At the same time, it is also noted there that cats are often present in films as fictional and painted characters. So, for example, it was in 7 of the 10 most popular films featuring cats.

For comparison: dogs are usually used live on set, which, in fact, is the reason for the relatively small box-office collection of “dog” films. In addition, the superiority of cats is explained by their more frequent use in cartoons. But it is cartoons that are the most preferred genre of viewers. By comparison, dogs dominate horror films. However, they are only in seventh place.
