Cane Corso is a dedicated dog attached to his family. And they "idolize" their "people." And this is precisely a family dog. We have a small child who can easily cope with any of our dogs.

Cane Corso was also bred as a nanny dog. In their historical homeland, in Italy, when the parents worked, the dogs were raising children. Therefore, Cane Corso love children and endure the manifestations of their love. However, I would not recommend leaving a small child alone with a large dog - and this applies to any breed. A dog may turn unsuccessfully and drop a child.

As for the relationship between each other, our dogs have an older female, and everyone obeys her. Girls may try to sort things out among themselves, but if you separate them, then everything will be fine.

Breeder's Observations: In their youth, Cane Corso may be wary of strangers, but adult dogs that are aware of their strength behave in a balanced, calm and not afraid of anything. We must try to provoke them. Although, if the dog is not feeling well, she is more irritable.

However, it all depends on the psyche of the dog and on education. If the dog is properly bred and raised, it will not attack people without a command, if it does not see danger or threat. Naturally, if she sees a threat, she will react.

Cane Corso will not bark for no reason. But if they call the intercom, they begin to guard - and it will be loud.

They are good guards, and they will definitely protect their home and their family.

My dog does not respond to extraneous animals, does not get involved in fights. Girls are more emotional, and if they are offended, they can get into a fight. But most often they play with other dogs. True, we try not to play with small dogs, because there is a risk of trampling without calculating strength.

Our cat chases dogs and can easily put them in the face, but she is older than dogs - she can afford it. Alien cats always run away from us, and the hunter's instinct is triggered by the dog. But they did not allow to catch up, therefore it is not known how the chase would end.

Cane Corso is very emotional. When we return home, about 10 minutes will be jumping and licking. As for resentment, like any animal, they can be offended, but not for long.

At the same time, they tolerate loneliness normally. While the owners are waiting, they are sleeping. Bitches are more companionable than males, but they are also able to live the day alone.

Breeder's recommendation: However, keep in mind that young dogs either need to leave a bunch of toys so that they do not turn interior objects into toys, or isolate objects that are especially precious to your heart from them. Adult dogs do not sin in this way.

Education and training Cane Corso

Cane Corso is very trainable, they are very smart and quick-witted.

One of our males has diplomas in the general training course and in the guard service.

The main motivation for Cane Corso is delicious or praise, they are pronounced food workers.

Sometimes they ask how much space this dog occupies. We live in an apartment, and I have two adult Cane Corso and a puppy. They are not visible and not heard. That is, the dog seems to be big, but I can’t say that it takes up a lot of space.

Breeder's Observations: Cane Corso is easily accustomed to the toilet on the street. Our puppies at 4 months with a 4-time walk do everything on the street.

Hair care is simple, but you need to comb out the dogs during the molt. Cane Corso has 2 types of coat: with undercoat and without undercoat. Of course, if there is an undercoat, you need to comb it out.

Cane Corso tolerate winter well enough, but if you keep this dog in the aviary, it must be insulated. If the temperature is below -15 degrees, I put my dogs in overalls.

Breeder's observations: We walk with our cane-corso 1.5 - 2 hours a day. Our bitch needs active classes - she is a very energetic lady. For the male, walks and a bicycle are preferable. But on bike rides I try not to drive him, because the dog is heavy, weighs 60 kg.
